- The Big Arduns' covers were also presented in more than one way, some said New York, others didn't, but they all say Ardun in raised letters. The present-day repro follows the Ardun New York style. M

- The tin side and cast iron V8-60 also had different crankshafts. The "1940" had larger mains. I'm not sure if the rods differ. Bob

- Hi Bruce, in response to your V8-60 notes, the book says the 60 produced only 94 foot-pounds of torque, at 2500 rpm, compared with the V8-85's 149 @ 2000. The 60 was no torque-monster. Better not be

- Interesting information. Did you make the arden head for a 60. What kind of intake manifolds did you make for them? My dad ran a midget with a 60 in it when he was a young fellow. Ed Shearer
