Is there an infallible way of identifying high tensile nuts,bolts and studs? I've got the 55 pound Head studs worked out but am wondering about how to identify decent bolts for suspension parts etc.

Grade 5 - Body hardware, bumper mounts, etc (three hash marks on top) Grade 8 - Engine, anything critical (5 hash marks on top) Can be had at any local hardware store. - Bryan

Hi Rob, Yep, there is a way. Each of the bolts/nuts have marking on them. Check out some machinist books at the library and they should have them in a table. Remember sometimes hardness is not good a
