I've got an early '64 Sprite (quarter-elliptic & side curtains) that I take autoxing a couple of times a year. I'm running 13x5.5 rims with 185/60 RE71R road racing tires on it and am using a 3/4" sw

I am surprised you don't get bad understeer with your current setup. With a 3/4" bar in the front and with the rear springs actually softened. But I am not too familiar with 1/4 elliptic cars. Your

Thanks for your comments! The 3/4" bar does cause some understeer, but its not too, too bad. The softening of the rear springs was to prevent axle hop over rough roads and reduce some of the sliding

I have a panhard and a rear sway bar on a 1/4 elliptic car (bugeye). Works a treat. The rear sway bar is 1/2". I also run a welded diff, so I avoid wheelspin even if the car does lift a wheel. I am s

I got them from Moss through George Merryweather. I would shop around, a lot of places sell these, and you might find a better deal. My car was level with the original springs but leaned with the 340

Which leaves did you remove? I like the economics of this idea over the cost of buying new competition springs. An associate runs quick times with his MGB. He loads 150lbs of steel into the passenger

Hi Jeff, Can I clarify that you are recommending a rear anti roll bar just for autox and assumedly to get oversteer for slalom? Note I have posed a separate question to the list about rear anti roll

Hi Jackson, I am not really a suspension expert but would expect that the more you can do drop the weight of the car and lower the ride height will always be steps in the right direction for any hand

I am just stating that with a rear sway bar, I don't have a problem lifting the rear wheel in road racing. Now, bear in mind that I also have a full roll cage installed, competition rear 1/4 elliptic
