I broke an axle and spider gear in the rear of my A. I have located an early steel wheel MGB as a donor. I know the differential fits the MGA housing but are the axles a drop in? I don't want to have

MGA 1500 used 10-spline half shafts. MGA 1600 used 26 splines up to (c)82892. MGA 1600 (MK-II) used 25 splines from (c)82893 on. MGB always used 25 splines. I have a pair of 25-spline half shafts (ch

My understanding is that it has more to do with keeping the matching wear patterns on the inboard splines of the axle shafts and the spider gears. Anyone else?? Dave Q. Oh yeah - make sure that they
