AFAIK the bleeder tightens down onto the caliper casting and that blocks the hole, and the resultant pressure on the threads seals those. If the bleeder hole is still weeping either there is roughnes

Check to see if the caliper bleeder hole is clean. If there is a piece of material in there, the bleeder screw will not seat poperly and leak. Also check to make sure the hole was not damaged. Maynar
