Sorry, I forgot to say that the radio only has two speaker wires coming out of the back, so it's not stereo. The radio actually came with the one ariginal speaker still attached (and functional). Je

If I know the old radios it sounds like it's for tone control. That is one way makes it sound really, really tinny and the other so attenuated that you could probably listen to some good rap on it. S
