Am I missing something here or are MG's more prone to needing body replacements than Triumphs? "Taxation WITH representation isn't so hot, either!" Brad (Lincoln Nebraska 402-464-1502) 1964 Spitfire4

The production numbers are probably indicative of the number of cars remaining and interest in restoring them. After all, I doubt that any of the general public has ever asked an MG owner if it's a

Friends on the Triumph lists, I guess this proves what we've been suspecting/saying about the British Motor "MG Heritage" all along, doesn't it? More than ten times as many B's as 6's!!! And more tha

Hi Odd, With all due respect, I was led to believe that BMH made an initial batch of 100 TR6 bodyshells after considerable investment in new tooling, as up to 60% of the original tooling was lost/des

I agree. If they played the numbers game, they obviously would have come up with a differnet initial Triumph offering than the TR6. Perhaps the economice were further complicated by the fact that a

I think that BMH probably picked the model most likely to have someone pony up the $4k+ for a new shell. Spitfires were more plentiful originally but since they don't carry the "TR" designation it's

Unfortunately, the first 100 TR6 body shells were quite a bit different from the original shells. Morover, the were shipped without adequate support, and as a result, often ended up twisted or damege
