- The consensus is it is probably a piston problem and the head will have to be removed. I will do that but work slowly. While the head is off I should also do other repairs. What might they be? I will

- Hello Ned Before you pull the head , start up the engine, with the valve assembly exposed, and a feeler gauge some 5 to 7 thousand over, check the gap on the valves on cylinder #1 under normal condit
