A group 51 battery fits the shelf very nice. It is narrow and allows access to the oil filter. I have not found a battery tray yet, and, I have made my own hold down out of billet aluminum. Check out

I used a battery hold down from a 1980's Chevrolet. It worked very well, it holds the battery at the bottom of the battery not with bars at the top. All I had to do was bolt it down where the existin
