I've had a fan shroud on my A for a couple of years. I'm removing it for this season. Fit is marginal and it only helps at idle...at best, and that is questionable in my book. Of course, YMMV Safety

Distributor advance problems are a very good possibility. Have tried basically every other sugestion. Opened the grille (even ran without it), added the appropriate felt, tried 2 different radiators
