Thanks for the advice, problem is that I'm 6 foot 4, so putting the seat anywhere but as far back as poss. would mean that I couldn't get in the car. Also I was thinking more about racks and stuff to

Sounds similar to my plan of hanging the bike form windscreen top edge and roll bar, and also sounds equally frightening should it fall off. The main problem though would be the unuseable hood / roof
