The commission number is not very useful for identification, unfortunately. The factory stopped recording them in 1971, according to Clausager. However, the serial number should pinpoint the date of

The 'commision' number was usually of the form 'G.23 N. nnnnnn F.' on a red-bordered plate. The number you quote is more like a car/chassis/VIN (black-bordered), but has too many digits. Roadsters bu

If you have a number GHD5 278685 that is not a commision number but the car/serial number/VIN and is the one you are looking for. That car was bult between Jan 72 and Aug 72, according to Clausager.
