There are exceptions Dick, but most cars will try to spin if the rear wheels are locked up. Not a good idea but could be fun / memorable / scary. What you will need to do depends on your system. If y

It helps. Due to aerodynamic loads varying with speed, you'll need to experiment to find proportion settings that are optimum for your speed ranges. In other words, if your car has lots of downforce

Hmmm, isn't that a metering valve? Disc to Drum. Proportioning has to do with front to rear brake bias I think. You need some sort of proportioning (not necessarily a valve) even with Disc To Disc. d

Isn't that what the correct master cylinder is supposed to do? Personally, I wouldn't worry about it until you find an issue with it. Be prepared of it possibly needing one, but to add another piece

Road racing cars used to balance front to rear braking mechanicaly - They used two master cylinders and the crossbar on the pedal that pushed on the cylinders had an adjustable fulcrum .

Dick, You must remember how little tire patch you have on the ground. I always set my brake pedal ratio so you have to really stand on the pedal to lock up the brakes. Those high dollar LSR tires wil

I am curious, Richard, what is gained by stepping out of gear after a run? You surely do not slow down quicker. John __________________________________

Jim, now you are taking a simple idea to the extreme. No, depressing the clutch in order to shift gears does not destabilize the car. In that short of time, not much bad can happen. I am talking abou

John: You are correct that slowing will take longer in neutral. However slowing and making the turn out at speeds I run (best of 208 at Bonneville, 186 or so at El Mirage) has never been a problem. I
