Maybe disconnect the metal line from the hose in the back and see if you have pressure there. Again, if either wheel cylinder has a bad seal it could cause your symptoms. It ain't rocket science. You

No and Yes. A clogged hose with air in front of it means trapped air is possible. And air in the system makes it spongy.
