Five years ago, I replaced my LMA fluid with silicone by pouring it into the master and pumping until I saw the silicone come out at the slaves. I have never had any problems with my system since. '7

After using DOT 5 for the past four or so years mine have started to leak as well and at $10 pint it is too much. What do I use to flush the system before rebuilding calipers and going back to dot 4.

The rumor I've heard is that DOT 4 swells the seals enough to make them - seal. And that DOT 5 does not - so old seals previously bathed in DOT 4 shrink in DOT 5 and no longer - seal. Others who have

No, I think you are a little confused. *Silicone* brake fluid has never been accused of dissolving seals (or anything else). That is its chief benefit. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid is notorious for dissolv
