Hi folks, Well the brake drums were egg shaped. Just under 0.010" out but that seems to be enough. Still do not have a good explanation as to why. Also had a delay occur affecting our depature. We ar

The two main reasons I have found for drums to become out of round are : 1) Applying the emergency brake hard while the drums are hot and letting it cool like that. 2) Uneven torque on the lug nuts.

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that extended use of the emergency brake would make the drums out of round. Especially if the car sat for long periods of time with it applied. Mike MacLean-60 S
