I bought a set of Spit pads from VB in '96 when I restored my Spit and they have worked well since. They still have plenty of pad left. I rebuilt the master and slave cylinders but not the calipers.

joe, you are certainly correct about the steel braid brake hoses. we sell many every year and the price is only slightly higher than replacing the 4 stock hoses. for you info, we also make kevlar bra
