Whats the best way to fill-in sheet metal around the battery box area? My TR-6 Practical Restorer's Guide talks about brazing metal to weak areas, but solder seems like it would be easier & cheaper.

Brazing or welding are the only current choices. Solder simply will not adhere to steel. If it does, about the only thing holding it on is the flux.... Cheers. -- My other Triumph runs, but....

I would agree that brazing or welding are the way to go on the battery box. If solder won't "stick" to steel then how do they adhere lead when restoring damaged body panels. Isn't that a form of sold
