I had a similar break on the wife's Subaru Justy where the sway bar attached in the rear. I just welded it up on the car. Your situation has a bolt hole in the area of the break, so you may want to

Steve - I had the same thing happen to my spax shock conversion, after about 1 year of use. I felt it shouldn't have broken, so I complained to Victoria British (whom I had bought the kit from). They

It seeems that the consensus is to "just fix it" by welding the bracket back together, preferably with a little extra reinforcing. By the way, I called every SPAX dealer I could find and found that n

You need to support the car on jackstands at the front hanger plates and detach the rebound strap on that side. Then, when you disconnect the bottom plate, the axle will stay put on the spring. You

Hello Jim, not only is handling off, but tests (by Mercedes Benz!) indicate that ONE bad shock can (and usually does) increase STOPPING DISTANCE by 50% or more... i don't recall if it mattered if it

The Midget I just parted out/cut up at Kevein's last OSHIT had a tube shock conversion on it. Not Spax, however. The bracket is slightly different in as it appears that Spax welds the bolt for the s

I have a spax conversion on the rear of my car. You are right, the part doesn't exist! The kit did not come with the bottom spring perch bracket. All you did was take the stock left side, turn it ups
