Looking at that car, I see a 1098 where the "58" engine should be. I am not doing the math but that is a 1098 t/stat cover (unique to those engines and some Morris Minors) and no 948 came with an oil

Well for starts it has a 1098 front side cover with the "oil can" and the "proper" intake manifold for 1275 PVC. The carb tops are black plastic, not brass. In fact the carbs look like HS2's not H1's
