On the backplate of the stock bugeye brakes are 2 eyes 180 degrees apart that I think must hold the spiral shoe steadying springs. Is this right? If so, how do I compress the spring enough from the o

Thanks everyone for the help with the brake springs. I ended up using a C clamp to compress the spring and pushing the catch of the spring thru the eye. Worked well. With the shoes and springs instal
