Bulb burnout is independent of the voltage stabiliser. That widget maintains 10v for the temp and fuel gauges only. Lights are on the 12v rheostat. I may have been the source for the suggestion of t

Tried the Radio Shack bulbs years ago. While I kept the rheostat turned down a bit, they lasted, but this was in my wife's car - she kept turning the rheostat up full, and the bulbs kept burning out.
