I of course had to refill my cooling system after replacing the water pump, but it didn't take nearly as much antifreeze as it should have so I'm guessing that there must be air trapped in the system

Hi Mark, The rad will burp itself once the engine reachrd normal operating temp and the thermostat opens. run it, let it cool off and then top it up. As to your temp guage, been pretty cold lately, w
