Cam swaps are not that hard, if you have turned wrenches before. I have never swapped a cam in a Brick before so I can't say if it can be done with the motor in the car or not, it will be close if no

It can be done in a 74 without pulling the engine. I just checked on a 74 that I have out back that has the engine apart. You will have to remove the radiator and probably move the condenser out of t
