My reassembly of the 1275 has ground to a halt on the question of camshaft I got a ton of it. Original block, end plate, front plate and cam thrust plate. New cam bearings, cam and oil pump. Peter C.

Hi David, The star drive will have nothing to do with end play in the camshaft. If you have a new cam thrust plate, I would suggest that you don't have the camshaft gear all the way on. This has a li
