I'm trying to install the big freeze plug on the side of the XPAG engine on my TD (the one just below the manifolds). I thought they were installed by smacking the plug dome with a hammer causing it

Yes, the "Freeze Plugs" holes original purpose was to provide webs to hold the inner sand cores in place. I suppose they got to be called "freeze plugs" when they sometimes would pop out when the coo
