Just want to point out that Marvel Mystery Oil and Marvel Air Tool Oil are not the same thing. I use Castrol 20W50 in my B's engine, OD tranny and carb dashpots. Never had any oil-related trouble wit

The factory recommended the same oil as used in the engine and gearbox, grade dependant upon local ambient temperatures, and this is what I've always used. The books show different levels for the HS

That's what I discovered when I first started servicing HS-4 carbs. Overfill the dashpots and the excess would exit the vent holes as soon as the pistons rose fully. This of cuss created a mess. Chee
