And pardon my ignorance as well, and this is my first Sprite, But I've had and done a few GM products as well as Hondas and BMWs that were carb'd. What is the going rate for a carb rebuild for an SU?

Maybe at most, $50 each. That would include a complete kit and new throttle shafts. But with new shafts and gaskets since that's all that wears, you can rebuild an SU for as little as $20. -- Frank C
