Has anyone had any experience with carpet dye? I've seen the stuff in what appears to be an aerosol form at some parts stores, but thougt it would leave a residue, or excess dye behind to rub off on

I've used just what you describe, an aerosal can of carpet dye, on the sun-faded interior of my B as a short term solution. It worked well, with the only problem being that I could'nt stand to be in

Thanks for the input. I wasn't even referring to RIT dye, but that's not a bad idea, for a temporary fix, anyway. It seems to me one might have a bit more control over the application with something

Yes, and it works very well, especially gor those black carpets which have gone either grey or a bluey colour. You might have to do it again after a while, but it is a lot cheaper than new carpets. I
