Glen, First thing is to take it to a GOOD machine shop that deals in real race car engines and have them check it. Then see who they have their cast iron repaired by. I have seen some old blacksmiths

One thing to remember when welding cast iron. If you are welding a crack make sure you identify both ends of the crack and drill a small hole at each end. This will keep the crack from getting longer

I just finished welding cracks in a old chev, 6 head with mild steel mig. tecnique-- tack tack tack its worked before- no gaurentees!!
