Greg, I'm not an engineer (although I often play one at work <grin>), but I doubt you'll accomplish what you want without a complete re-design of the intake, exhaust and ignition systems to work wit

Honestly, if you really care about the environment as much as you say you do, you'd take that engine out and put an SR20DE or KA24DE in it. That alone would make a HUGE difference in the emissions.

If you want it to work reliably and cleanly, my input would be to fuel inject it... While carbs CAN work with converters, injection gives much better control of the A/F mixture, can listen to an 02 s

Ha! I also was wondering who still has leaded gas available? Moving on.... Has anyone done emission testing on well-tuned-don't-need-rebuilding engines that can be found in roadsters: R16, U20, KA24D

Well, you can still get it a few places at pretty steep prices, but you guys missed my whole thrust, which was that it's probably a nice gesture at best (based on any substantial reduction in emissi

Ki list, You could always fit an O2 sensor to your exhaust headers to assist in fine tuning the carbs. Even though the system can't dynamically adjust the AFR whilest operating, it may still run appr

Hi Graeme, I have an O2 sensor port (bung) in my collector for just such a purpose when I had the car on the dyno. It helped spot a dangerous lean condition at one time... very important on this moto

I would love to inject it, but I have so much money tied up in carburetors it would be hard to justify, especially since I would want individual throttle bodies, and I just bought brand new 45mm Dell

Can't do the swap to a '67 2000... that would be blasphemy! :-) Honestly, if you really care about the environment as much as you say you do, you'd take that engine out and put an SR20DE or KA24DE in
