i was going through the parts box that the PO gave me with the car and found what appears to be a NIB chain tensioner with gasket. on the box is "Datsun engine G.R.H.H20.30 and 13070-32200". in the

No, I'm afraid you didn't see that tensioner go for $275. The U20 components are now made of unobtanium and so are very expensive. The R16 components are identical to the H20 forklift engine, whose p

The problem is the oil tensioner doesn't build up pressure fast enough at start-up and therefore lets the tensioner move all the way in ( you probably already know this but other's may not), thus no

The nylon tie wraps sounds like an interesting idea. However, I would be worried that parts of the nylon could break off and plug an oil hole. Nylon washers or metal washers might be better. Personal

Fred, Mine is not a problem of old chain or tensioner. Both were replaced within the past 5K miles at rebuild. The head also fell within specs. My problem is with the tensioner loosing pressure after

Hi John, Do you have the center tube in place inside the oil filter mount? If not, your oil pump has to refill the entire oil filter before a flow of oil can be pushed to the tensioner. That can acco
