I dug up my 1948 copy of "Audel's New Automobile Guide", and read the section on tires. It described basically the same procedure, and even had a picture of the "breaking the bead by jacking up a car

We are talking about jacking up a car with the jack sitting on the tire ! ? I got a question how safe is this? Really guys and girls, for five bucks I wouldn't take the chance. It's to much work that

I had the local garage change a bad inner tube, and they charged $30 for labor. For that much, you can almost buy a new tire! Doug

I go to this one place regularly for my tyers, infact everone in my famaly, and where I used to work went there. Anyway, not only have I had the tube chainged to free, they have also turned a tyer on
