I just discovered a cleaner that works surprisingly well, and is pretty cheap is Zap Citrus cleaner, its orange and in a spray bottle. It's carried by Home Depot, I think its there house brand. Works

I haven't tried that one but have found other citrus products leave an oily film behind. How about the one you tried? Gerard BTW, Kragen carries Steam in a large can 2-pack for about $3.25-$3.50. I

Let's be careful out there - if spraying the engine with high pressure water, make sure there are no means for the water to get into the oil through loose dipsticks, valve cover/cap vent ports, etc.
