Larry, I use Greased Lighting then using a water hose with gentle pressure flush it from the back side. Let it dry over night and install. I don't use the oil.... Bob ________________________________

I'm not the K&N rep but I believe the "cloth material" is not the filter the oil is. A foam filter is different as the oil would block the flow of air. The same goes for a paper filter. Crash Good qu

That is what K&N recommends too. I have never heard of another product that could be used to replace their product. Probably is one somewhere, but why worry? Just buy the cleaning kit and do it. And
