- I'm with Daniel. I tried to back-flush one in my parts cleaner for two days and it was still spitting metal particles out. (I put a paint strainer on the outlet side to see what was coming out of it.

- The best thing is to consider it a paid for lesson, and throw the used cooler away. You should never run a used oil cooler. No shop or cleaner can get all the grit and trash out of the cooler innards
