Did I read, that on a TR3 with positive ground, that the + side of the ignition coil goes to the points,,,?,,, Mine is to the switch, and the - is to the points,,, Will this make a big difference? Al

Yes, your plugs will fire backwards. That will probably not affect performance but the plugs will burn out faster since the electrons are "boiling off" the outer electrode rather than the inner. Just
