An earlier thread about a compact spare got me to wondering if there is a copact or deflatable TIRE which can be fitted to the 15 inch MGA wheel. I have a twin cam, so there will be no RIM to fit. B

Use of a smaller diameter tire on one side of the rear will cause the spider gears in the diff to work very hard, causing excessive wear. This is acceptable for a short, low speed trip..............

how about taking a splined hub and welding it to one of those space saver wheels??? kind of gets you everything you want. Just be sure of: 1)concentricity.... so the hub is exactly centered 2) wheel
