Fellow FOTers Thanks for the info on the head thickness and milling advice. The compression of the existing standard head (before removal for work) is 110, 103, 108 and 105psi with the throttle open.

Richard, A leak down test would tell you a lot more, but the car need to be at temp to work correctly. But it's very good that the readings are so similiar. A compression test is really ony good in a

Agreed Agreed Hummmm I would be tempted to think that the dynamic compression, i.e. run with all the plugs out, throttle open (I wedge the SU pistons open as well), starter turning about 1,500 RPM,
