To change the displacement, you need the 302 crank (with the larger stroke), and then you'd have to bore the block to accept the larger-diameter 302 pistons. The problem with that is it can't be done

The max cylinder overbore for the 260 is .030 inch. The 260 cylinder diameter is 3.8 inches, while the 289 and 302 have a cylinder diameter of 4.0 inches (IIRC!), so you can't change a 260 into a 30

Strange how things go. I am in the process of removing the four barrel manifold and returning to stock 260. I have located the parts to do so from a drive train long removed for a 302. Regards, Gary

Well you know what they say - different strokes for different folks. 8-) Sourcing original Tiger bits and 260 parts is considerably harder than getting performance pieces, so while I'm not interested

You could put any of the stroker kits into the 260 and get into the 330 cu in range, but your limited by the 260 bore size. Any other part that fits a 289 or 302 will work. The real question is how

Gee, well now why would you want to do that? Shelby, himself thought enough of the 260 that he recommended that Rootes keep it in the LeMans cars. :-)

This is the same Shelby who after observing that the LeMans Tiger was almost as fast as his 289 Cobras, has his mechanics rebuild the 260's after qualifications for Rootes. Interesting both suffered
