The bracket with the missing bottle is for the charcoal filter - not the radiator. The charcoal filter is part of the emissions system, but not necessary. R. Ashford Little II '70 TR6

May be necessary to bleed air from the system -- if so be thankful it is essentially self-bleeding. The cooling system on my VW requires raising the front 19" and massaging the hoses to work the air
