- Personally, I've always used steel-shim head gaskets, and sprayed them myself with Copper-Kote. Even in engines of 12.5/1 compression, I never had any problems with loosening of head bolts or blow-ou

- Yes but . . . the intention here, I do believe, is to substantailly up the displacement ante. And, besides, I don't believe you can get chrome-moly rings for the Alpine bore size. Ramon rs11@ElSegun
