I use what I call cookies... they are velcro backed, sorta like scotchbrite pads that go onto a grinder or drill... sometimes they are velcro (I think Snap On's), sometimes they are 1/4 turn fastene

I've been using EZ off Oven cleaner. Just wear PPE as it is lye and will burn you. Great for taking off all gaskets. Had some "professional" gasket remover once and the smell and sting reminded me of

There's available a small wheel with a 1/4" shank that goes into a die grinder or high speed drill. Cordless drills run to slow. It uses Scotch Brite pads and works like a floor scruber. They aren't

Those are 3-M Roloc discs. Be real careful using them, I have a friend that owns a speed/machine shop and he says that every head he gets that has been cleaned with a Roloc needs to be resurfaced. Th

I should have mentioned in my earlier post that 3-M makes a Bristle Disk that is a much better choice for gasket removal. Same quater turn mandrel but much less likely to remove metal. Jim K. that b
