I believe there should be a black crackle finish on the motor case, natural/unpainted on the cast parts, and cad or zinc plating on the removable steel parts. I believe the motor covers on the Bugeye

It's called "wrinkle" finish paint and comes as a special formulation. I haven't seen it much lately as it's not very popular anymore, but I would think Eastwood or some specialty paint supplier woul
