A new master cylinder for the 74 is cheap, for the 66, rebuild it. As for fluids, without talking synthetics, I use... Here's what I use; engine oil 20/50 engine oil (Castrol) transmission fluid 50wt

Unless you have a dog peeing brake fluid on your tire (don't taset it to see), that sounds like a shoe-in for a leaking right rear brake cylinder. It is probably running down the inside of the wheel
