What are the symptoms of a cracked head? I just removed and cleaned mine, but don't know if head cracks are visible to the naked eye or something I'd have to have magnafluxed or dye-penetrant checked

My first head from the '77's that I had was blowing smoke at start-up due to some cracks around the valve seats. The second head blew two head gaskets due to a six-inch crack that ran from the rocker

Hi ~Mike!! They didn't have platinum plugs when these cars were made, so they aren't listed in the manuals. I use Bosch Platinum plugs in the '73 "B", and the '71 "GT". I gapped the '73 at 0.060", an
