Sounds like to me, you need to get a complete 1275 core!! I have one. Interested? Currently bore is .020, crank is std. std. Needs to be bored and reground. Currently a runner, but it's in poor shape

If you're gonna spend nearly $1000, try Moldex at 313-561-7676 for the high end of the scale (billet). Not sure what they charge, but I have a friend-of-a-friend that will do billet crank for $1200.

Ok, so if one were to build a bulletproof 948 the first thing is to throw it away and get a 1275 right? Or is there a way to keep a 948 crank from exploding? Just curious at this point.. Lester

I took out what I thought was a good crank from the 948 in the A35 Austin. It was cracked. I got three 948 cranks from Crash, two were cracked, one was already 20 under. I finally got an uncracked o
