I asked this question a while back and several very knowlegeable Listers wrote they were running 0.060" overbore with no detrimental consequences. I believe this gives very close to an even 3 liters

The shop manual lists .040" overbore. IIRC, that and grinding the rod journals the allowed .040" undersize, but off-center, so as to SLIGHTLY increase the stroke, yields a new displacement of 2993cc

The workshop manual for the 29D, 29E, 29F & 29K engines indicate a maximum 4th oversize piston of 0.040" (1.016 mm). Based on a standard bore of 83.34 mm and a stroke of 88.90 mm, the plus 1.016 mm o

Hi Paul, BMC A & C series engines can take quite a large overbore. I'm running the 85mm Denis Welch Cosworth forged pistons - its fractionally over a 60 thou overbore (.064 I think?) - just over 3 li

To follow up on my previous email, here an email I received today from a fellow in Arizona that I have been working with to benchflow and design the engine. Again, I thought it might be interesting t

Not knowing the type of engine, what displacement would a .204 thousandths over bore put it at? Cooling may become an issue though. Allyn
