SU carb question: to richen the fuel mixture when accelerating, do you use a heavier dashpot oil or lighter oil? Seems like I remember a List thread that said heavier, but not sure. Thanks. Vrooom vr

I am not sure if it is the accepted method for doing it, but on acceleration thicker oil would slow the rise of the dashpot, restricting the air flow, and enrichening the mixture. Too thin or low oil

Standard dashpot oil is 20WT. If you go to 30 or 40 WT it will enrichen the mixture on acceleration. Alan
