We live with this every day on the Thunder Bolt. The engine hangs down well below the chassis. We'd love to run the oversized alfin oil bath, as we do on our other engines, but it don't fit. Bill Den

Peyote has the same problem. I have a skid plate in front of the pan, but it still gets thumped a bit. I can't use the pretty aluminum pan I have. Well, I could, but it wouldn't last a lap. --Origina
